What this policy covers
This page explains how TripKopia selects topics, builds guides, sources information, handles time-sensitive facts, reviews accuracy, discloses commercial relationships, and corrects errors. It applies to all content published on this site.
Source-based writing
Every guide is built from verifiable, official sources. Primary sources include the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO), KORAIL train network, Airport Railroad (AREX), Seoul Metro, the Korea Meteorological Administration, and Korean government and city open-data portals. Each article lists its sources at the bottom using a maintained source registry, sources are not pasted as loose URLs that can go stale.
We do not publish absolute claims on YMYL (Your Money or Your Life) topics, prices, operating hours, transport schedules, safety, health, and payments, without a traceable official source. When information is disputed or uncertain, we say so.
Verification dates and time-sensitive content
Each guide displays a “last verified” date. On that date, the time-sensitive facts in that guide were re-checked against the official source: prices, operating hours, transport schedules, entry rules, and seasonal notes. Guides are re-verified when there is reason to believe facts may have changed, and after any confirmed correction.
Because prices, hours, schedules, and travel conditions change without notice, we recommend confirming any time-sensitive detail with the official source before you rely on it. This applies especially to transport timetables, attraction entry fees, restaurant hours, and weather forecasts.
Guide structure and quality standards
Each guide is built around a single search intent, one question, one clear answer. Guides follow a consistent structure: a direct-answer summary at the top, verified quick facts, organized body sections, and a source list. Sections are written for foreign visitors unfamiliar with Korean conventions, not for domestic audiences.
We do not copy-paste from other travel guides. We avoid promotional language and unsupported superlatives. Guides are reviewed for accuracy, clarity, and relevance before publication and after substantive updates.
How AI is used, and where it is not
Software, including AI tools, is used to help gather and organize research: pulling figures out of official pages, comparing sources against each other, checking structure, and editing for clarity. That work speeds up the first draft; it does not decide what the guide says.
What a guide recommends, which trade-offs it names, what it leaves out, and whether a claim is safe to publish are editorial decisions made by a person before anything goes live. Sources are checked by a person against the original page, not accepted because a tool reported them.
We do not publish first-hand experience that did not happen. Where a guide is written from official sources rather than a visit, it is written as a sourced guide and says so, and any detail that would need someone to have been there is left out rather than invented.

TripKopia does not currently use affiliate or performance-based links, and earns no commission from any link on this site. Outbound links are chosen because they are useful, and official sources are linked in preference to commercial ones. See our affiliate disclosure, which is updated first if this ever changes.
We do not publish sponsored or paid placements, and we do not accept payment to change an editorial recommendation. If that ever changes, the page carrying it will say so plainly.
Corrections and updates
If you find an error (a wrong price, an out-of-date hour, a broken transit detail) please let us know. We check the claim against the official source, fix the guide if warranted, and update its “last verified” date. Significant corrections are noted in the guide.
