Travel information changes. Prices go up, transport routes are altered, venues close, and events are rescheduled. When something on TripKopia is out of date or incorrect, we want to know.
How to report an error
Email us at han3905@gmail.com with the guide title or URL and a brief description of what looks wrong. If you can point to an official source that contradicts what the guide says, that helps us verify faster, though it is not required.
What qualifies as an error
We treat the following as reportable errors and investigate each one:
- Outdated price or fee information
- Incorrect or changed operating hours
- Transport routes, times, or fares that have changed
- An attraction, restaurant, or venue that has closed or moved
- An event date or schedule that has changed or been cancelled
- A factual error in a description (wrong station name, wrong neighborhood, etc.)
- An official source link that no longer works or points to the wrong page
- A halal, allergy, or dietary claim that is not supported by current official information
How we investigate
We check the reported information against the relevant official source: the venue or operator's own website or official English-language page, the Korea Tourism Organization, KORAIL, Seoul Metro, or equivalent government or transport authority. We do not rely solely on third-party review sites to confirm or deny a correction.
If we cannot verify a correction from an official source, we note the uncertainty rather than silently accepting or rejecting the report.
How guides are updated
When a correction is confirmed, we update the affected section of the guide, update the “last verified” date, and note any significant change in the guide itself where it helps the reader understand what changed. We do not silently alter facts that readers may have already seen.
Minor corrections (a typo, a broken link, a formatting issue) are fixed without a formal note. Substantive corrections (a price, a route, a closure) are noted in the guide.
Scope
This policy covers all editorial content on TripKopia: destination guides, itineraries, food guides, where-to-stay guides, things to do, and travel essentials. It does not apply to third-party sites linked from TripKopia; we cannot correct errors on sites we do not control.
We respond to every correction report. Response time is typically a few days, though complex corrections that require extended verification may take longer. See our editorial policy for how we source and verify guides in general.
